All acupuncture needles used are sterile, single use, and disposable. We dispose of our needles in accordance with the local sharps disposal protocols.

An initial consultation and treatment at Bondi Road to Health involves you completing the comprehensive initial patient intake form online prior to your appointment. The form invites you to share any issues you hope to address and your relevant medical history. Before we meet you, we will review this information and begin to formulate a treatment plan. We will have further questions to ask you while at the clinic. The more information you provide, the better, and it is very helpful to us if you email us the results of any recent blood tests, medical imaging reports, or lists of current medications.

We will often ask to inspect your tongue, feel your wrist pulse, observe posture and injured areas, and we may also palpate your abdomen (with your consent).

In this way, we begin to construct an individualised diagnosis according to traditional Chinese medicine.

We will then proceed with your treatment with the aim to both alleviate the presenting condition and to support you at a deeper constitutional level. You may be asked to lie face down on the treatment table, on your side, or face up, depending on the areas requiring treatment.
